I don't know about you, but I feel like the family that lives in this awesome modern Singapore home should have a pet panda, just saying. I also can't get over how crisp and white the place is. If I could work bamboo trees into my home, I totally would.
Outdoor dining area with bamboo trees all around? Yes please!
We have had one of the snowiest (that's a word right?) winters ever! From the beginning of December up until now, the ground has been covered in white snow. My friends and I were able to take advantage of this snow. We spent the day trekking in our snowshoes soaking in the winter white wonderland up here in Canada.
So happy I was able to spend the day with my cousin Rebecca - She has been quite the world traveller spending the past year in school abroad. It was nice spending a winter day with you!
My Grandparents were very fond of travelling so they wanted to mimic their favourite places at our chalet. There are about 14 massive Mexican tin masks all over the walls and gorgeous area rugs. It's our little "Spanish Oasis".

Every woman should have a designated space to do her make-up and get ready in the morning. If space was no option in my bedroom, I would completely mimic this stunning vanity below. I mean look at it, the entire wall is a mirror, there is a small collage of inspiration and that bird mobile is out-of-this-world. Choosing this mirrored vanity really allows for it to blend into the wall.
I go through these phases where I transfer over to the vegetarian lifestyle and I think this time it might stick. It partially has to do with half my family is vegan and gluten free so I am surrounded by the lifestyle. Honestly, eating like this does have its advantages - all the food is super nutritious, I feel energized and light after a meal and it's forced me to get creative. Below is a delicious organic and vegan stir fry, enjoy!
Ever since I turned 21 I have been dying to visit the city of lights. Last summer I went Las Vegas for work and had such a great time. It was surprisingly a lot smaller than I had imagined. The strip downtown was insane with flashing lights everywhere, people walking around in costumes and most of the hotels had some kind of water show going on with splashing water and music.
The Wynn hotel is absolutely remarkable. They had this asian section that had hanging lanterns and umbrellas. I felt like I was in China, it was so beautiful!
The mosaic floor was stunning, I mean look at it! The attention to detail at this place was exquisite. Every room was decked to the nines.
Donna and I out for dinner and drinks at Wynn!
We saw David Copperfield the illusionist which was incredible!! I even got to go up on stage with a few others and we made a few items disappear. I couldn't stop smiling when I was up there. I highly recommend this show, you will have such a great time!
Below is Amanda and I woking at the Vionic booth at Magic Market week!
Did you ever walk Laguna Beach or The Hills? If you did then you can get a sense of how excited I was to see Kristin Cavallari debuting her new shoe line with Chinese Laundry!
In front of The Mirage hotel is an awesome lava show! With lots of music, lights and water, they have created an amazing illusion of a volcano erupting.
I'll be going back to Vegas in a week and I'm so exited to get away from this chilly weather!
Toronto is a great city because it's small enough that you can live here and feel comfortable but big enough that there is always something fun to do. The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) hosts an event on the first Thursday of every month called First Thursdays which allows you to drink while viewing art. Pretty cool right? My girlfriends and I went last year and had such a great time!
Going to this event is great because you get to meet people who are in their twenties and thirties aka you get to network. You never know who you might meet waiting in line for a beverage! They have a few bars around the gallery, live music, a DJ and food. You can buy tickets online here for the event tonight from 7-11:30PM (19+ . . . sorry kiddies!)
February can be a grinding month if you live up in the great white north because it's been cold for awhile now and people are getting a little sick of it. The upside is that Valentine's Day is next week. You know love is in the air and spring is right around the corner.
Valentine's Day can come with many expectations which makes the whole holiday not that fun sometimes. We all know what the typical evening consists of - going out for a pre fix dinner at $100 a pop and having some ordinary love-enfused dish that you will probably hate. Why not stay in and have a doughnut party with your true love? Let's think about how cute this would be for a second - you get to hang out at home, you can bake whatever cute dish you like and get to use your fun and colourful china!
No matter what, white paint is always a great choice. You know you will never get sick of it, you can dress it up or down and it always makes your home feel bright, airy and open. This past January was the House and Home trends issue where they tell you whats going to be hot for the year. I spy a few trends in this home! Can you spot any?
Claw foot tub - oh how I love thee.
This room was most likely a bedroom given the size and has flawlessly been transformed into a walk-in closet. Pretty perfect right?
At home we have an enormous collaboration of pictures from over the years all up the wall on the main staircase. I have been eager to create another one somewhere of prints just like the one below.
