handsome peacocks

Colourful peacocks are my new favourite room accessory. They are so handsome and create a bold statement to a room. Discretely place him on your fireplace mantel and see if anyone notices!

closet inspiration

Ladies across the land gasped while watching Carrie Bradshaw open the double doors to what would soon hold her entire world. Every woman deserves the space to display everything from her strand of pearls to her peep toed heels she wears to tea and garden parties. Be confident in what you wear and display it proudly and always remember that Cinderella is proof that a pair of shoes can change your life.

clean and serene

Nothing says clean and serene like a white bathroom. Make yours luxurious by adding a fabulous vintage chandelier and a stand alone claw tub. Brass fixtures are a personal favourite. They add a little bit of a rustic feel to the space.

christmas barn party

Christmas is just around the corner which means holiday parties! Make sure you have sent out your "save the date" to ensure your spot on your friends calenders.

Ralph Lauren has used his rustic style to decorate this spectacular barn. A vintage chandelier, candles and a Christmas tree is all this party needs.

dramatic lighting

Gold and black work so well together to create a dramatic focal point in the room. Large pendent lighting is a must when working with high ceilings to make a statement.

dining in a small area

When dining in a small area, benches are a great way to maximize your space. The brass fixtures compliment the purple pillows and black framed windows beautifully. Always remember to have a vase of fresh flowers on the table!

Spiral down into your handsome office where the white walls and the floor are delightfully accompanied by rich wood pieces. What a stunning contrast!

set the tone for your home

Accent your entranceway with interesting features by adding a glammy carpet on your floor. This will instantly make the statement you are looking for when your guests first enter your home. I have always wanted one of these rugs in my home!

An entrance sets the tone for your home. A stunning entry with simple and elegant gold trim accents.  This is one of my favourite foyers.

An oversized mirror leaning against the wall is a favourite. It adds such a grand feeling to a room.

Zebra-Hide rug found at Neiman Marcus for $566

This Blanco Hair hide rug found at Neiman Marcus for $999 has such a rich contrast with white against dark wood flooring.

Cow hide found at IKEA for $299

With all rugs, it is recommended to use a rug pad underneath to maximize its life and beauty and keep from slipping on tile and wood flooring.

a compilation of prints

I love a compilation of framed prints. The elegant gold leaf chandelier is the perfect size and the ghost chair nicely blends into the space. There is always a vase of fresh flowers on my desk - a wise person once said that seeing flowers at the start of your day will keep you smiling all day.

Never underestimate the "wow" a corner can have.  Decorate with a lamp, small vase of flowers, frames and your favourite decor book.  Don't you just love the tree!

An Old World Style bedroom has such subtle elegance. Earth tones and lots of draped fabric changes the whole tone of the room into something wonderful.

something slightly different

Open kitchen shelving is a personal favourite of mine. Show off your plates, glasses, bowls and platters and add a little drama...

Cupboards can overtime become dated, open shelving allows for a constant updated look. I really like the simple pencil drawings in the different wooden frames - never seen this on kitchen shelving before!

glammy barn

To paint the wood or not to paint the wood? In this case - don't! Natural wood, white and a few accents are just was this room needs. The exposed wood, red accents and crystal chandelier give this room that "glammy barn" look.

bathroom with a view

This guest bathroom has the stunning view of the up close and personal cliffside. By using colours from the rock on the interior, this allows for the walls around the window to frame the artwork that is outside. The beautiful natural light is bounced off the landscape into the bathroom. A vase of flowers is always a lovely and subtle touch to add to any room.

DIY 2 ways to use a pumpkin

When entertaining, it is important to decorate the evening with a theme. Using outdoor objects inside is always a fun and interesting trick. Decorate your party with two simple and creative ways to use a pumpkin. Salt the pumpkin seeds and bake them in the oven for a tasty snack!

Allow your pumpkin to be wide enough to hold your desired amount of bottles. Fill with ice to keep beverages cold. Place decorative holiday items around the pumpkin to keep with the fall theme.

Simply take the top off the pumpkin and place on top of your favourite tureen and you instantly have a one-of-a-kind lid for your pumpkin soup.
